Details

Metauro Free is a series of freestanding bathtubs whose main characteristics are elegant design, comfort and simple assembly. These bathtubs are made of quality cast sanitary acrylic that is pleasant to the touch, resistant, naturally anti-slip and easy to maintain. Metauro Free bathtubs come with factory-mounted frame and an overflow-outflow set with “slot” overflow and “click-clack” siphon valve in a finish matching the bathtub interior. All elements are factory assembled, and the bathtub is delivered ready for installation in your bathroom.

Self-filling variant

The overflow-outflow set with self-filling functionality combines the overflow and outflow functions with the drainage system of the bathtub. The internal component of the set unites both overflow and filling operations, eliminating the need for traditional bath fillers above or on the bathtub rim. The self-filling option provides aesthetic, functional, and ergonomic advantages compared to conventional solutions.

Water is filled into the bathtub through a concealed overflow positioned at the overflow location, while the flow rate is adjusted by rotating the round overflow cover. The water temperature is regulated via an externally installed mixer, placed outside the bathtub area according to applicable professional standards.

Frequently asked questions

What material are bathtubs made of?

Aquaestil bathtubs are manufactured from 100% cast sanitary acrylic, ensuring durability and providing an exceptionally pleasant touch, ease of cleaning and maintenance, as well as the possibility of repairing the surface in case of eventual damage.

Exceptional in this regard are Aquaestil premium line Titan bathtubs, made from Astone solid surface composite material or cast marble. Astone composite bathtubs present a surface with a gentle silky texture in a matte finish, whereas cast marble bathtubs boast a flawlessly smooth surface with a glossy effect.

Can bathtubs be repaired in the event of surface damage?

Any potential surface damage on Aquaestil cast acrylic bathtubs is not a concern. The original surface condition of the bathtub can be restored through sanding and polishing the surface.

We advise entrusting the repair of any damages to an authorized Aquaestil service representative or a qualified professional.

Is it possible to retrofit a massage system onto a previously installed bathtub?

Retrofitting a massage system is not possible, as the necessary preparations for the massage system must be made during the manufacturing phase of the bathtub.

Cleaning and maintenance

Daily cleaning and maintenance of Aquaestil cast sanitary acrylic bathtubs is quick and easy. For cleaning, use a cloth or smooth sponge and standard liquid bathroom detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners and cleaning agents that contain microgranules that could scratch the surface. A smooth sponge soaked in vinegar, or a vinegar-based agent is recommended for removing limescale. After cleaning, the surface should be rinsed with water and dried. Agents with the following ingredients must explicitly not be used on acrylic products: hydrogen peroxide, ammonia, aminophenol, phenylenediamine, toluenediamine, resorcinol, iodine.

For cleaning the surface of Aquaestil cast sanitary acrylic bathtubs, we recommend Aquaestil cleaning solution for acrylic and glass surfaces.

Bathtubs made of cast sanitary acrylic are characterized by optimal heat and sound insulation and a perfectly smooth surface that is extremely pleasant to the touch. Cast sanitary acrylic, in contrast to standard acrylic ABS or polyester, offers wide possibilities of removing any surface damage.

Minor damage to surfaces in glossy effect can be repaired with water-based sandpaper with a grain size of 240 to 800 and then polished with a paste. Wipe off any remaining polishing paste with a clean, damp cloth. Afterwards, clean the entire bathtub with a mild multipurpose/neutral cleaning solution.

Minor damage to surfaces in matte effect can be repaired by using a soft sanding pad with 320 grit on the affected area. After the procedure, clean the entire bathtub with a mild multipurpose/neutral cleaning solution.

In the event of major damage, contact an authorized Aquaestil service support provider to learn about possible ways to remove the damage.
